Wonderful, Liz! ... I intuitively believe that by saying that you love your Self, you're honouring and establishing a closer connection with that Self, i.e., your Higher or Spirit Self -- or Monadic Self).

Love it, dear Liz! .-- especially the line "The more I trust in Self ... " my intuitive interpretation of this line added the word "Self" before" love," i.e., to me it reads "The more I trust in Self, the more [healthy] Self-love is given to me" [given to me by my Higher Self] ... which speaks to how my own life is unfolding these days -- on an accelerated path of healthy Self-love and Self-empowerment.
